Plascon Spaces Showroom

So you are redecorating and you would love to add some colour or simply change what you currently have? Plascon has a service to help you choose wisely with the help of their in-house experts and it’s FREE!!!

I tested them out when designing the new baby room. It is a really tiny room and needed some serious TLC, but I got stuck on choosing the right colour for the room. I had an idea but was not sure what shade to use, so I dialed in the experts.

You fill in the questionnaire they send you, and then book an appointment with one of the friendly consultants, who prepares a whole presentation with samples and images.

I took my mood board and some fabric samples with and we were able to look at all the colours and ideas they together with my vision. The consultant mixed up some of the colours we wanted in tester pods so that I could test it on the wall before making a final decision. We also got excellent advice on what type of paint will be most suitable to use.

Here’s what you have to do if you would like to meet with a consultant:

1. Request an appointment by calling 011 467 8693/4 or emailing spaces@plascon.co.za

2. Complete a detailed Q & A which will be sent to you upon confirmation of your booking.

3. Email your completed Q&A along with high resolution jpeg images (maximum 5MB) of your interior or exterior space. (Try and get the most of the room in one image.

Please ensure your images include the following:


a. Floor to ceiling

b. Exterior surroundings / vegetation

c. Your furniture / décor items you are going to keep in your makeover

d. Pictures of your new curtains / blinds / shutters, fabric samples, flooring ie carpets, tiles etc

e. Inspirational images that you like from the internet, magazine cuttings or pics that you have taken

4. Using their onsite tools we will prepare digitally generated ‘before and after’ mood boards, which will be presented to you at your scheduled appointment.

Your consultant will prepare a presentation with different colour options and samples with the actual images that you sent them. It is so much easier to make a decision when you see the colours in the room. After discussing the presentation in detail you can look at the colours and at the paint options. Your presentation will also be sent to you via email.
