Ultra violet interiors

Ultra violet is the Pantone colour of 2018, a deep and vibrant colour, you can either love it or hate it, I for one love it. It can be quite a daunting colour to bring into a space but luckily there is no need to go all Prince on a space to stay up to date with the latest colour trend. Here are some tips to incorporate Ultra violet into your home:

  • Accessories, Accessories, Accessories. This is the easiest way to bring any colour, especially daring colours like Ultra Violet, into your interiors. It is also the most economical way.
  • If you’ve always dreamt about having that velvet couch or wingback chair, now is the time to do it! Statement pieces are amazing ways to bring an strong colour like Ultra Violet into your home and will have everyone talking.
  • Add some metalics and you are good to go for an ultra luxurious look!

Is it a colour that we can use in a nursery or kids interior you may ask?! Yes of course, looking at colour therapy or the way colour used in a space influences us, Ultra violet is a very calming colour and can be associated with mindfulness practices.

“The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.” – Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Colour Institute.
