Nurturing Beauty: 3 DIY Recipes Using Young Living Rose Ointment

Have you jumped on the Castor Oil train? Castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid. These types of fats can be used to moisturize the skin. They act as occlusive moisturizers, which prevent or reduce water loss through the outer layer of the skin.

GUESS WHAT?!

Rose ointment contains castor oil, so I have been testing it out on the driest parts of my face and under my eyes as an eye cream to see the results. I have previously used just castor oil under my eyes and I can report that I prefer using Rose Ointment as it helps the other ingredients get absorbed better.

Rose Ointment is deeply nourishing (a little goes a long way) and is the perfect addition to your skincare routine. It’s full of oils that make your skin happy like Rose (of course!) as well as nourishing carrier oils like castor oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil and argan oil.

Rose Ointment is gentle enough for everyday use, formulated for sensitive skin, and uses 100% plant-based and naturally derived ingredients. Ultra-versatile and easy to use, it seals moisture into skin and is perfect for use on lips, cuticles, elbows, knees, and wherever you have skin that needs soothing. This is a staple in our skincare cabinets and first aid kits!

The allure of roses extends beyond their captivating fragrance and exquisite appearance. Young Living’s Rose Ointment harnesses the essence of roses to offer not only a delightful scent but also a multitude of skincare benefits. I have three creative DIY recipes that showcase its versatility of this product.

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the shea butter and almond oil together.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then stir in the Young Living Rose Ointment.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a clean container and let it set in the refrigerator for a few hours.

3. Radiant Rose Facial Mask:
Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon finely ground oats

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the Young Living Rose Ointment and honey.
  2. Add the finely ground oats and mix until you have a smooth paste.
  3. Apply the mask to your face, avoiding the eye area, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Gently rinse off the mask with warm water, revealing soft and rejuvenated skin.
