Current trends I am crushing on

Kids interiors has evolved into more sophisticated spaces than just a few years ago. I get less requests for the old character type rooms and more for rooms that flows naturally in with the rest of the house. These rooms grow with the kids as they get older with minor changes to update it along the way.

Here are some nursery and kids interior trends that I am currently crushing on.

Abstract murals and decals:

No need for boring walls, ever! Although wallpaper can be gorgeous it is not loved by all, and not an option if you are a tenant. Doing a mural or adding decals makes any wall pop and bring the most boring room design out to shine.

Natural textures:

This includes the use of rattan, wood, natural fibers, plants and grasses. Layering has never been so much fun.

Creative play

Nothing excites me more than a space specifically aimed at creative, imaginative and free play. I love how more households are moving to create spaces that is not just a dumping spot for toys but becomes a well thought out learning space where a child can discover and create.
